Community
Drumming Festival (30 to 60 minutes):
A facilitated drumming jam session.
Guaranteed to break the ice and create an uplifted community spirit of celebration.
Jim works themes such as listening, communicating, teamwork, respect, discipline,
patience, dedication and celebrating life into this fun, playful experience. Great
for celebrations, beginning and ending of school years, classrooms, school clubs,
Grad Nights, awards presentations and more.
Percussion &
Rhythm Around the World (30 to 90 minutes):
An exploration of the way
peoples around the world use what is found in their environment to create percussion
instruments and make music together. . A great way to teach how to celebrate the
diversity of cultures while also examining their similarities. Also explores elements
of environmental studies, the science of sound, the way sound effects us, math,
history, cultures, communication skills, setting and meeting goals, discipline
& contributing to the community.
Making Percussion Instruments
From Everyday Materials (30 to 90 minutes): A workshop that covers a
wide range of percussion instruments that can be made from everyday materials.
Great for young people, teachers, activity leaders, parents. Explores the nature
of sound, making music together, creativity, environmental studies and world cultures.

Interactive
Keynote Presentation: Rhythms and Paths to Success!" (30 to 90 minutes):
Motivational and inspirational rhythm based program with or without instruments.
Jim uses folklore, cultural traditions and stories of his adventure travels and
drumming throughout Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and North America. Covers
universal themes such as integrity, respect for self and others, self reliance,
goal setting and attaining, teamwork, passion, perseverance, patience, discipline,
celebrating diversity, overcoming fears, community service and developing a sense
of adventure. Perfect for school assemblies, jump-starting the beginning and/or
celebrating the ending of the school year, awards presentations, graduations,
Grad Nights and more.
Community Rhythm Residency!" (one
day to two weeks): An extended stay in the community with drumming programs for
a wide range of community groups including corporations, non-profits, schools,
service organizations and others. Our CRR creates a true spirit of community across
the full spectrum of people and organizations that make up the community. The
CRR is often sponsored by multiple local and regional groups, but often local
corporations become primary sponsors by bringing Jim in to do his corporate programs,
and reap the rewards of being recognized as community benefactors. (See

Staff Retreats
(30 minutes to three hours):
Interactive Drumming programs and interactive
keynote presentations for teachers, administrative staff and others. Great for
ice breaking, stress releasing, rejuvenating, team building & celebrating

Jim's school-wide Keynote Presentations
can also be done in conjunction with his percussion workshops in the school music
department (see our Percussion Education section),
so that the music department students perform for, and inspire, their peers.
